Yesterday, Easter Sunday, the world proclaimed Alleluia, a word that literally means praise the God of Israel. “Praise ye Yah.” Many did sing of praises to the resurrection of the Son of God. Many celebrated, if only through a meal, or reunion, or through the traditions of the children. There are many reminders in the news that many did not partake in the celebration, the fact is that many viewed he day’s events with skepticism and hostility. Many today did not care for the day celebrated, many wished that Jesus had stayed in the tomb. A reminder that the resurrection is a victory and with every victory there also is a defeat, and the defeated always try to get up, gain a stronghold, and fight again. Such is the nature of battle, and battle with the devil is no different.
